Job Description

TheChange is growing and we're looking for an intern to help us manage, implement and execute our social media and community outreach strategy as well as provide content development, marketing and administrative support.

• Contribute to our social media engagement
• Measure and enhance the impact of our members' online social media strategy
• Help us design and launch online campaigns
• Help keep content up-to-date on the website
• Represent TheChange at community events and document your experience via blogs/video/social media updates
• Create marketing material and help with newsletter development

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate would be a current Marketing student or recent graduate looking for practical experience in online and offline community engagement.

• Experience in social media and/or blogging
• Access to a computer, excellent writing skills, detail-oriented
• Excellent self-management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Motivated, ambitious and enthusiastic individual, great team player
• An interest in leveraging Web 2.0 tools for social and environmental change
• An interest in engaging with the local sustainability community

Additional Information

This is an unpaid internship with a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week over the summer months with the possibility of an extension.

• Be a part of an exciting new sustainable media start-up and gain hands on experience in marketing, communications and social media outreach
• Attend cool sustainability events e.g. EPIC, Organic Islands Festival & Sustainability Expo
