About Fair Trade Vancouver
Our Story
Fair Trade Vancouver is a non-profit organization that seeks to increase awareness, availability, and sales of Fair Trade products in Metro Vancouver to alleviate poverty in developing countries.
By purchasing goods with the Fair Trade Certified logo, you support equality and contribute to empowering hardworking individuals and their families to build sustainable futures.
Campaign Goals
- To increase awareness of the concept of Fair Trade among the citizens of Metro Vancouver
- To increase sales of the various Fair Trade products available in the region, and in particular products from companies that are 100% Fair Trade.
- To increase Fair Trade product availability to consumers; particularly in cafes and restaurants
- To have Fair Trade products carried by more suppliers and distributors
- To have prominent citizens and groups make public commitments to puchase Fair Trade products
- To have businesses and organizations adopt in-house purchasing policies that require Fair Trade products when available
