Come out and join us in celebrating the media launch of A LITTLE MORE GOOD, by sipping on some tasty drinks and nibbling on some delicious eats! This night will be filled with NETWORKING, MAKING A DIFFERENCE, and CONNECTING with like-minded individuals!

About the Event:

As simple as its title, A Little More Good (ALMG) is a Vancouver company that is based on the idea to promote the good in our community. Unique from other philanthropic organizations, this company showcases good ideas, good causes, and good companies in Vancouver.

ALMG founder, Katie Jeanes, has always had a passion for volunteering and giving back to the community. She holds the belief that “everyone has something positive to contribute to the community but many people just don’t know how to go about getting involved. ALMG was created to make it easier for people to find opportunities to get involved in their communities and give back. “

ALMG has partnered with Social City Networking INC. for their official launch party, January 19th, 2011 at 8 PM at Club 560 Art Lounge in Vancouver. The launch party welcomes all supporters that are passionate about making a change and those that are interested to see what all the hype is about. ALMG will set the tone of the company by selling 250 tickets that are available by donation. Proceeds from ticket sales and silent auction will be donated to The Passion Foundation, a Vancouver based organization that focuses on the health and well being of young women in Canada, Kampala, and Nairobi by raising literacy and social development. As Jeanes prepares to kickoff the company’s launch with a bang, she says, “What the Passion Foundation has done with almost no money is incredible. Imagine what they will be able to accomplish with this donation.”

In addition to profiling good happenings around Vancouver, ALMG has created a karmic bucket list of 100 Ways to do A Little More Good. Each week fellow change-makers and adventurers will come together to cross one item off the list. While the list includes simple things like donating blood, biking to work, and boycotting plastic bags, Jeanes hopes these simple acts will have a snowball effect and together lead to a lot more good in Vancouver.
